Servindo como um contraponto à falta de traquejo social dos vizinhos, Penny conquistou o público com seu carisma, o que é um grande mérito da atriz de 34 anos.

Nascida em Camarillo, na Califórnia, a atriz fez a sua estreia na televisão com apenas sete anos no filme Quicksand: No Escape. Desde então, Cuoco fez alguns trabalhos como modelo e atriz, começando a consolidar sua carreira. 
Entre participações e papéis mais duradouros, ela trabalhou em séries como 8 Simple Rules, <a style="box-sizing: border-box; outline: 0px; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background-color: transparent; cursor: pointer; transition: all 0.3s ease-in-out 0s; color: #000000;" href="../../serie/11-charmed" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Charmed </a>e <a style="box-sizing: border-box; outline: 0px; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background-color: transparent; cursor: pointer; transition: all 0.3s ease-in-out 0s; color: #000000;" href="../../serie/22-prison-break" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Prison Break</a>, além de emprestar sua voz para animações como Alvin e os Esquilos: Na Estrada.
Em 2005, a atriz entrou para o elenco de The Big Bang Theory  e o resto é história. Uma curiosidade sobre a trama é que ela e Johnny Galecki, assim como seus personagens, tiveram um romance. Mas ao contrário de Penny e Leonard, o namoro acabou depois de dois anos e eles ainda são amigos até hoje.

Com uma fortuna estimada em US$ 55 milhões de dólares pelo seu trabalho na série, a atriz não ficou muito tempo longe do trabalho e investiu em suas ambições no ramo.  
Ao fundar sua própria produtora, a Yes Norman Productions, Cuoco obteve os direitos do livro <a style="box-sizing: border-box; outline: 0px; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background-color: transparent; cursor: pointer; transition: all 0.3s ease-in-out 0s; color: #000000;" href="../../novidades/48292-kaley-cuoco-big-bang-theory-comissaria-de-bordo-nova-serie-dramatica" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Flight Attendant</a> para adaptá-lo. O resultado é a minissérie de suspense com o mesmo nome, estrelada e produzida pela atriz, com previsão de ser lançado na HBO Max.

Cuoco também vai estrelar o filme Man From Toronto nos cinemas, com estreia prevista para 2021 nos Estados Unidos. Na vida pessoal, a atriz é casada com o treinador de cavalos Karl Cook desde 2018, sendo o seu segundo casamento.
